Message From Our Director
For Federation Housing, the fall brings the promise of a new fiscal year, the opportunity to reflect on our accomplishments from the prior year and the chance to rededicate our efforts to our mission of providing quality affordable housing and life enhancing services to our low-income seniors. The hallmark of Federation Housing continues to be the extensive programs and services that are offered to our residents free or at low-cost.
Federation Housing “by the numbers”, from our fiscal year ended 8/31/19 is quite impressive: 23,080 annual meals served to 602 unduplicated residents through our Senior Congregate Meal Program, 4,000 round trip rides through our Transportation Program and 170 participants in the weekly Socialization for Seniors program through our partnership with Golden Slipper Gems. Our residents also enjoy weekly spiritual guidance and educational activities led by our in-house chaplain, Rabbi Sandi Berliner. In conjunction with our varied community partners and generous philanthropic sponsors, numerous other monthly events and programs are offered to our residents free of charge.
This fiscal year, 2019-2020, promises to be an exciting one. August 10th, 2020 marks the 50th birthday of Federation Housing. We have begun plans for celebrations and acknowledgements to mark this significant milestone. We are proud of our successes and accomplishments through the past 50 years that have been achieved through strong Board leadership, a dedicated and talented corporate staff and through the generous support of you- our many friends and community partners.
Stay tuned throughout the year as we announce our 50th birthday events. We invite you to join us as we celebrate the past 50 years and lay the foundation for Federation Housing’s future. We welcome and appreciate your partnership.
